Welcome to EggsShelf

To be on EggsShelf, you need to register your poultry and the admin personnel. For this purpose, a single registration form is provided with two sections. Click on the “Register” button on the main menu to take you to the registration page. It is simple and seamless.
After a successful registration of your poultry and the admin, you will be required to log in to your poultry account in order to start your operations.

After successful login into your account, you will notice two sets of tabs. First, you should click on the tab labelled “Add/Stock Pens”. Here, you are going to register and stock the pens that are available on your poultry farm. The minimum number of pens to stock is one, meaning that you only have one pen-room where you keep your poultry birds. The maximum number of pens is fifteen. The pens are labelled “A” to “O”, and they are named “Pen A”, “Pen B”…”Pen O”.
After registering and stocking your available pens, you then click to open the “Settings” tab. On this tab, you should check to see if the default settings provided by EggsShelf meet your requirement. You can change the prices of eggs, prices of feeds, and size of feeds bag you use according to your requirements. The currency unit in use is according to the country you registered from, so it cannot be changed. The unit of weight on EggsShelf is gram (g) and kilogram (kg), which also cannot be changed at the moment. We are working to bring on other units in future.

After verifying that your settings meet your requirements, proceed to the “Enter Daily Records” tab, where you will enter the data for the pens you have registered and stocked. The records for one pen and for a particular date are entered at a time. You cannot enter records for the current day (today) or that of a later date because records for such dates have yet to be collected. You can only enter records for previous days (dates). As good practice, you should always enter records for the previous day on its next morning. You should then go to the “Sales Report Form” to enter the sales records appropriately, as described here of the Daily Report records.

You can now open the rest of the tabs to see how EggsShelf has presented to you series of poultry-friendly sets of data and information, nicely processed from your entries. The Daily Report table shows you data and information relating to stock and pen performance, eggs production, and sales information. The Financial Accounts Distribution table shows you the allocations of your poultry finances to the operations and sustainability of your poultry farm

Another important piece on EggsShelf is that of registering staff of your poultry poultry farm. There is a form provided for the poultry admin to send an email to each staff requiring to register, and such a staff registers within 24 hours of sending the email. Each staff is allocated a role by the poultry admin while sending the email. The Poultry Admin and Manager can also handle other staff access such as “suspension” or outright exit from the platform.
